3rd Congress of pediatricians in BiH, was held from 24th-27th October 2007.

Dear colleagues,
third congress of pediatricians in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held for the first time in Mostar from 24 to 27.listopada 2007. Now, after having passed some time after the congress, it can be said that the congress was a successful and well organized.
The organizer of the congress was the Association of pediatricians in BiH with the co-organizers Clinical Hospital Mostar and medical chamber HNZ. Supporters of the Congress were prim. Dr. Safet Omerovic Federal Minister of Health, Mr. Srecko Boras premier HNZ and the City of Mostar. Congress was held in the Hotel Ero, who alone in Mostar has several congress halls and accommodates a large number of guests. Director of the hotel and all staff were effort to better host the congress guests and participants, which was around 200th.
The objectives of this congress were the improvement of health care for children, getting to know the scientific and practical achievements in paediatrics in this region, education, and what was of special importance socializing and getting acquainted with each other pediatricians with the exchange of experiences. The main congress themes were:
congenital anomalies - diagnosis and treatment,
prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases with the necessary free articles and posters.
Conference papers prepared by paediatricians from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia. Presented 120 papers. Abstracts of papers were published in a special issue of the journal. Importance and value of Congress are particularly contributed call lecturers from the country and abroad. This is an opportunity to remember them and thank the kindness and effort. Area speakers were Prof. Carol Wagner in Charleston, USA, Prof. David Southall from England, Prof. Jos Latour from the Netherlands, dr. dr. Branko Marinovic, prof.dr. sc. Vladimir Ahel, prof. dr. Mladen Peršiæ, prof. dr. Mirna Saraga, PhD Marijan Saraga, doc. dr. Veselin Škrabiæ from Croatia, prof. dr. Milivoj Boraniæ, PhD Husref Tahiroviæ and prof. dr. Senka Dinareviæ from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the opening, which is the head of the Veselko Cerkez, participants and guests were welcomed by Congress example. Dr. Zeljko Roncevic, president of the Association of pediatricians in BiH, by the application. Dr. Vesna Brkic Head of the Department of Children's Hospital Clinical Hospital Mostar, by the application. Dr. Zdravko Pandza front Ravnateljstvo KB Mostar, by the application. Jadranka Knezevic president of the Medical chambers HNZ, Mr. Bozo Coric front of the City Administration of Mostar, Mr. Luka Faletar Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare HNZ and Prim.dr. Safet Omerovic federal Minister of Health. In front of children Mostar pediatricians and guests were greeted by Congress Lucia Hrstiæ of her songs, and two beautiful songs, which she had written the words and music. General sponsor of the congress was Pliva, a gold sponsor of Pampers and a silver Bosnalijek. All deserve praise as well as many other sponsors without whose help the Congress would not have been successfully organized. At a special evening, guests were entertained by Frenki, Klapa Hrvoje and children from the dance school Romance, and 28.10 for participants of congresses organized trip with a tourist visiting the interesting places in Herzegovina, and lunch in the tavern of Herzegovina product.
