3rd Congress of the European Academy of Paediatric Societies will take place in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark on the 23rd-26th October 2010.

This conference builds on the tremendous success of the two previous congresses held in Barcelona (2006) and Nice (2008). The EAPS is a partnership between the European Academy of Paediatrics, the European Society for Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care and the European Society for Paediatric Research. In addition, colleagues from several other European Paediatric Specialty Societies join us in presenting this exciting and comprehensive programme.
Uniquely, the EAPS Congress combines interest for paediatricians from primary care, general paediatric practice and specialty practice with a programme for intensive care and general paediatric nursing. We combine presentations from laboratory practice through to community paediatrics and present some of the best international speakers in a comprehensive range of areas designed to stimulate maximal interest.
State of the art plenary lectures are combined with specialty tracks featuring invited international speakers and free oral presentations, alongside poster presentations. Featured subjects will include relevant topics in the areas of general paediatrics, intensive care medicine, brain and development, gastroenterology and nutrition, circulation and epidemiology and are listed overleaf.
In addition, plenary presentations will include a wide range of issues such as national policy for children, child protection, medicines for children, obesity and catch up growth, refining the use of oxygen, vaccination and infectious disease. The International Pediatric Research Foundation State-of-the-Art Science session will evaluate exciting new approaches to cellular protection from hypoxia.
